• Typography – not consistent on different PCs

    Hi,

The default typography e.g. of Open Sans regular for the “Global Heading Typography” is not showing correctly. For example, on the PC I’m using to develop the website, it accurately displays Open Sans on all pages. But when I go to the client’s office, the Open Sans font only shows on some pages e.g. Venues. On the Home page and other pages, it seems to default to Times New Roman.

Please can you let me know how to fix this.

    Kind Regards
    Tori

    Hi there,
Don’t know what’s the issue on your clients pc as it loads perfectly on our end. I think there’s issue with your clients pc. Ask your client to remove any unwanted extensions & then try to load the site. Sometime for the bad internet the font is not loaded. Please check whether your client is having bad internet or not. It’s definitely fault with your clients pc as there are no issue with theme as I can see.
    Thanks & Best Regards

    Hi,

I’m sorry but I don’t think it’s the client’s internet. I’ve just tested it again on my own internet. If I visit the site using my PC then it shows Open Sans as the font. If I visit the website on my laptop (which is a new Microsoft Surface, so not antiquated), then the font shows as something more like Times New Roman. Since they’re on the same internet connection, I don’t believe that this can be causing the font changes.

Please could you take another look? Are you definitely using webfonts?

    Cheers,
    Tori

That’s strange. I tried it on my different pc’s & also on mobile & the site loads perfectly with open sans font. I don’t know what happened with your device but there must be some issues with either pc or internet as on my devices like mobile or tab the font is loading perfectly. Can you try different font & check whether it’s working or not. Please let us know after trying different font on your site & if its working or not.
